2007 Hamacher Pinot Noir - 91 Points!

"...The 2007 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley was sourced from relatively old vines (25+ years). It offers up a fragrant perfume of toast, spice box, earth notes, black cherry, and black raspberry. On the palate it displays an elegant personality, medium body, savory flavors, a silky texture, and excellent depth. This impeccably balanced Pinot will provide pleasure through 2019."

2005 Hamacher Pinot Noir - 90 Points!

"A relatively deeply pitched nose of dark berry fruit, briar, earth and underbrush hints leads to round, rich, fresh and vibrant flavors that are brighter than the nose and culminate in a dusty, focused and pure finish that exhibits moderate structure and fine length. This is a wine of restraint yet it's ripe and displays no vegetal hints. Good material here and on top of it, I like the style."

2004 Hamacher Cuvee Forets Diverses Chardonnay - 91 Points, "Editors' Choice"
“… this wine is a shining example of what heights Oregon Chardonnay can achieve. Smoky and nutty at first, it opens up to reveal white peaches, and melon flavors that gradually supplant the oak notes. Richly textured and full-bodied, it also boasts serious length on the finish.”

2004 Hamacher Cuvee Forets Diverses Chardonnay
"Soft and spicy, broad in texture but impressive for its delicate touch, delivering oak-tinged pear and wet earth flavors. Drink now through 2008. 390 cases made."

2002 Hamacher "Durant Vineyard" Pinot Noir - 91 Points!
"This wine is a first for Eric Hamacher. For over 10 years, he extolled the merits of blending wines from different vineyards, believing that no one vineyard could offer the complexity and depth he required for the Hamacher brand. Over time, one wine routinely stood out as a consistent favorite in the cellar. In the stunning 2002 vintage it excelled and Eric decided to honor the wine with a solo bottling from only two barrels. While it's a big wine for this Dundee Hills vineyard, the elegance is well supported. High tones of cherry blossom, earth and spice mingle in the nose but still do not prepare you for the explosive mouth to come! Like a great work of literature, this wine is an evolving, layered classic to be enjoyed over time. It's elusive, succulent and silky, fully justifying why we appreciate great wine. The 2002 Durant Pinot Noir is delicious now but still a baby. Cellar a bottle or two for a future occasion."

2002 Hamacher Pinot Noir - 92 Points, "Editors' Choice"
“… this is a big, round, supple wine loaded with black cherry and plum flavors accented by hints of mint and cola. Despite its size, it’s harmonious and balanced, featuring a long, richly textured finish.”

2002 Hamacher Pinot Noir - 91 Points!
"...this has lovely red cherry, raspberry and white chocolate flavors on a bed of fine-grained, almost wispy, tannins. Has a tang on the finish as it sails on unimpeded..."

2001 Hamacher Cuvee Forets Diverses Chardonnay

“Minty oak still dominates this four-year-old Chard, suggesting it will be best with rich food or in a few years when the wood melds further into the baked apple flavors.”
